I love helping people.
I didn’t know how I wanted to do it.
But I love that in public health, I can do so many different things, and every day can look different, but I’m still achieving my goal of helping people and making people healthier.
I really wanted to go to Daemen for my grad program because I was here for undergrad.
I had an amazing experience with all of my undergraduate professors, and it was just the perfect choice.
I was able to complete three degrees in five years, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that at any other grad school just because the program was perfectly made for me.
So that’s why I wanted to stay here for grad school because of my undergraduate experiences and the amazing program that I know they have.
All of my professional networks started here.
I got my first job because of the MPH department at Daemen.
I literally would not have met my boss if I didn’t go here.
Really, everything, just how I carry myself professionally.
I carry because of the professors that I got to engage with and the courses that I chose.
It’s really rewarding because I know what’s important to me, and I know the struggles that I face in my day-to-day life, and I know that my problems are not unique.
And so I want to be able to help other people go through not only what things that I’ve dealt with but their own life, their own health situations.
And I just love being able to learn from these people and hopefully have an impact on their life.
Your education is never something that you can replace.
And I would encourage people to look at the Daemen MPH department because it is such a strong program, and whatever graduate program you’re in, you’re going to have a lot of challenges thrown at you.
However, you want to go to a school where people know you and people want to support you, and the college has opportunities to help you.
So I know that Daemen offers a lot of programs about time management about how to dress for interviews.
So I would just challenge people to, yes, keep pushing for what you want and make sure that the school you choose has those resources and supports for you.
Yes, I would absolutely recommend the Daemen MPH program to anyone who was considering a master’s of public health because you can’t find
this type of connectivity and this type of support anywhere.
And I think that that’s what I needed to get through this graduate program.
And so I would recommend it because it made a world of difference for me.
Hi, I’m Lucy Connery, a graduate of the Daemen MPH program, and I think you should come and experience Daemen for yourself.
