Daemen College’s esports team is the first competitive collegiate gaming program established at a private institution in the Buffalo Niagara region. The Wildcats esports team won the East Coast Conference’s League of Legends Championship held on May 1, earning its first title and finishing the season 8-1.
My name is Patrick Ryan and I am the head e-sports coach here at Daemen College.
My job at Daemen College is to coach all six games that we compete in, in the ECC conference, as well as recruiting future students and offering scholarships for those that apply.
The Daemen College e-sports facility is located on the ground floor of the Wick building.
We have an updated e-sports facility, which includes 14 top-of-the-line Alienware computers, a big screen TV for VAV reviews, and 24-hour access to all our students.
For fall of 2020, Daemen eSports will be competing in League of Legends, Overwatch, Valorant, Hearthstone, and Rocket League.
The ECC Conference has acknowledged all of these games to be competitive platforms.
Our Daemen e-sports program was able to accomplish winning the ECC Conference for the first time ever this year in League of Legends, and qualified for the national Riot Championship, and each of our students also gained extra scholarship money this year.
Please stop by any time to learn more about our program.
