The primary objective of HEOP is to help provide a broad range of services to the student, who because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend college, yet has the potential and desire to obtain a college degree.
My name is Tiffany Hamilton.
I am the Director of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program.
The HEOP office is located in Duns Scotus, Room 118.
It is located right across from the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
As the director of HEOP, I am in charge of facilitating and running the grant that brings in some of the most diverse and eager students to our campus.
We provide above and beyond academic services, tremendous personal support and assistance to allow our students and grow and thrive within Daemen.
Because we function as a village, as a really tight community, as they venture and journey through their careers, and their experience through Daemen College, they become active participants within their communities.
HEOP is really a support program for students who are looking for additional support.
It’s just an application process and we guide you through the whole thing.
But I also challenge the students to have great expectation in the staff of HEOP, and in the college as well.
They deserve excellence just as much as we are expecting excellence from them.
