Making the transition from high school to college can sometimes seem like a daunting task. We asked some of our amazing students what advice they’d give their high school-aged self about the college experience. This is what they had to say!

I would tell my high school self to get involved on campus immediately because I think that’s where I made a lot of my friendship is just joining clubs and organizations.

And go to teachers, take advantage of teachers office hours and open labs and everything like that because those resources are there to help you.

I would tell my high school self to remember that this is what’s going to get you your future.

You know, you’re going to have to remember that.

There’s going to be some tough times, but it’s definitely worth it, it’s definitely something to look forward to.

These are the best years of your life so you gotta live it the best way you can.

I would tell my high school self not to stress out as much about college.

Go in there with an open mind and just make sure you make as many friends as you can so that if you need any help and the teacher isn’t available and your friends in that class, or taking that class, they can kind of guide you through it.

I would probably go back and say like dude, you got to relax, like it’s not going to be bad.

You need to you know calm down, like, yeah you’re going to have to work hard, but everything’s going to be okay, just you know, get yourself out there and be the best person you can be.
