In this video, Danielle Weaver, Director of Housing and Residence Life, discusses living on campus and the various resources provided by Residence Life at Daemen College.
Hello, my name is Danielle Weaver and I’m the Director of Housing and Residence Life here at Daemen College.
Our department is responsible for all of the residential facilities on campus, the programming that goes on in the residence halls, the resident assistants, all the things that happen outside the classroom within the residence halls.
We have Canavan Hall, which is a first-year residence hall. We have the Campus Apartments, Collegiate Village, and Snyder Park, which are all upperclassmen residential facilities.
We have 21 resident assistants, who live on campus on each of the residential floors. These RAs are trained students who are able to connect our residential students with support staff, tutors, anything that they need in order to be successful within the residence halls.
The process of living on campus is you submit a 200 dollar housing deposit to admissions. After that, on May 1st, you’ll receive an email from myself about selecting your roommates.
The process is all online and you’re able to pick who you live with and you’re able to find potential roommates all through our software called eRezLife.
Stay tuned to your email for more information regarding that once you deposit. Residence Life is located on the second floor of the Wick Campus Center in the Student Affairs suite.
