As Western New York’s premier health sciences educator, the physical therapy program at Daemen College has maintained continuous accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation in physical therapy education since its first graduating class in 1977.

Daemen College is also the first small liberal arts college in New York State accredited to offer the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Our physical therapy programs allow students the opportunity to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in natural science, with Health Science Specialization and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in just six years.

For the first three years of this program, students take Daemen’s core curriculum, which includes major science courses and physical therapy related courses.

Then, the last three professional phase years allow students to be immersed in hands-on physical therapy courses.

Students are trained to be experts in the field.

All core faculty members teach, practice and conduct research in their area of specialty.

This includes, but is not limited too, orthopedics and sports medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary, and wound care.

Whether you wanna work in a hospital setting, private practice, home care or an athletic facility, the job market in physical therapy continues to grow rapidly.

This is a great time to invest in your education and your future.

If you’re ready to get started, visit Daemen.edu/PhysicalTherapy today.
